As brands (as well as other communicators who want to get their message across) wonder how to reach and truly interact with their audience…
and as media companies wonder how to improve, maintain or reach profitability…2010 may well become the year of the branded channels!

Branded channels could be turned into highly effective marketing and communication instruments. This is clearly demonstrated by the Obama Branded Channels on social community sites as Youtube, MySpace and Facebook and the Etrade branded channel on Youtube (see video).

The growth in numbers, reach and forms of branded channels is bound to further accelerate in 2010. For brands, media companies, agencies and content providers there are clearly huge opportunities, but how to successfully start-up and/or monetize (as a brand or content owner) or offer and/or monetize (as a media company) branded channels?
